Where this comes from

Run small, on purpose.

Practical Reason exists because almost every "AI for ecommerce" pitch in 2025 sold tools, not results. The numbers rarely added up, and the demo was always someone else's store.

So we built the opposite. For 2 years, the systems behind Practical Reason have run live, every day, inside real Shopify businesses. They write email campaigns and blog posts, keep stores visible in AI search, and make on-brand copy and images. Quiet systems that run on their own and do the work of several hires.

Practical Reason is that work, packaged. The same systems, run the same way, now available to any serious Shopify store without building an in-house AI team.

Small on purpose. Every sprint is founder-led, 12 a quarter, no exceptions. If more comes in than that, we tell you straight and add you to the queue.

Brand values are easy. These are the rules you'll actually see in how we work with you, week to week.

01It runs itselfA system you have to remember to run isn't worth keeping. Every Build & Run system runs on its own. You see what it did in the morning brief, a short daily summary we send you, and you never log in to make it work.
02You approve everythingNothing goes out without your approval. By default that's one approval per item. A system gets more freedom only once you're sure it stays on brand.
03Pay for output, not accessNo setup fees on the monthly plans, no cut of your ad spend, no 12-month lock-ins. You can leave any month, and we should still want to earn the next one.
04We go deep, not wideEcommerce is where AI pays back fastest, and 2 years of live systems mean we already know what works there. So that's where we go deepest. The same method, finding where AI actually moves your numbers, works for the other businesses we help.
05Honest stakes, every timeIf a system won't move your numbers, the sprint says so. If a plan is too much for your stage, we'll point you to a smaller one, or away from us.
06Restraint is a featureOne quiet accent colour. No icons. No stock illustrations. We chose this look because every other AI agency did the opposite.

All contracts, invoices and supplier agreements run under Parallel Agents Ltd (Company no. 17123782, registered in England and Wales). Registered with the UK data regulator (ref ZC120533). We're registered in London for legal reasons, at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ. The team works remotely, across the UK. Your data is hosted in the UK and GDPR-compliant by default.
